Okay, so I have been working on my little single-family rental. I have to tell you that this little house is the best place for me to exercise my eclectic design style. For years, I never did anything to the house; I just lived in it. But little by little, as the years progressed, this little house told me exactly how it wanted to be treated regarding decor.
The Living Room is the final living space I needed to complete. I am so thankful that I am almost done. But I have to tell you, the living room seems to be the hardest to ensure I get it right. I want to nail this design style.
I am going for a monochromatic look. The walls, couch, and even the furniture are chocolate brown. But then, of course, I will give it an eclectic twist.
The living room looks almost similar in my mock-up, courtesy of ChatGPT. I still need to lay down the carpet, but unfortunately, my vacuum broke, and I am waiting for the new one to arrive. I must also put together the coffee table, spray paint the curtain rods, and do a few other little DIY projects.
LIVING ROOM BEFORE THE PAINT:
The living room looked dirty and crusty before I painted the walls. It badly needed a change.
LIVING ROOM NOW AFTER THE PAINT:
The living room now has fresh Benjamin Moore paint (Whitall Brown). I also had a new light installed. This chandelier light is so beautiful from Walmart. It looks exquisite and expensive, but I only paid 67.99 for it. It has a remote control and a hidden fan, giving the living room an updated feel.
LIVING ROOM UPDATE:
Look how beautiful the living room turned out.
